Element 4: Support for strategic approach and CBEI
The main components of this task include:
- The establishment of a central communication and information exchange forum based web portal;
- Supporting of the Creek to Coral Integrated Water Quality Monitoring and Research Working Group and the WQIP Steering Group;
- Supporting existing and new Community Based Education and Involvement (CBEI)activities and networks including Citischools, Creekwatch, Reefcheck, Seagrass Watch, and Reef Guardian Schools through the Youth Environment Network (YEN). Strengthening and enhancement of community involvement opportunities, community events and school curriculum e.g. tours, events and workshops;
- Ongoing support for community involvement and participation through the development of training modules and newsletters;
- Development of a stakeholder consultation strategy;
- Community Based Social Marketing (CBSM) and other behaviour change activities.
